The Red Cross runs a range of services for asylum seekers, including men’s and women’s support groups.
The men’s group is currently running arts workshops, focusing on producing personal narratives around experiences of migration and asylum, and are looking for community artists to facilitate these. Initially we are interested in people with an expertise in creative writing, but are also interested in hearing from people who can facilitate workshops in music, photography, or arts and crafts.
As this is a men’s group we are interested in working with male artist. We’re looking for artists with several years’ experience and training in therapeutic use of arts, and experience of working with people with mental health problems is essential.
This is a paid position, and the group runs on Wednesdays from 11am to 1pm.
